End of the Longest Winter

My submission for the February 2017 Challenge.

The challenge was using three disparate images for a cohesive piece. 
here were mine:
     

They had a very strong sun/ light theme but all have a strong contrasting feature, the storm, he dead forest, and the shadowed hand respectively.
So I tried to mix a lot of heavenly/solar imagery that has all been tainted in some way. In retrospect I may have painted the darkness on a little thick. I based the character design largely on the deer in "Dreamer" (white with half closed day dreamy/seductive eyes)
